Art Studio - New Castle County

Art Studio Video

The Art Studio is the fine arts education center of New Castle County's Department of Community Services. Since 1973, the Art Studio has offered a wide variety of visual arts classes for children and adults. Small classes with a maximum of 12 students in a relaxed setting give participants one-on-one interaction with instructors. We offer fun Saturday morning art classes for children, as well as summer art camps for the budding artist. Summer art camps give children ages 6-17 the chance to explore and experience new mediums.

Program Highlights

Clayworks and Pottery

Our clayworks and pottery classes will teach you modeling/sculpting, throwing, potter's wheel techniques, and glazing.

Photography

Learn the basics of photography, how to maximize the potential of you digital camera, how to take more exciting photos and more.

Drawing and Painting

The Art Studio offers many classes for drawing and painting throughout the year.
