Summer Sports Camps

Each year over 400 young athletes participate in New Castle County sports camps. Half-Day & Full-Day camps are available. Sports include baseball, basketball, field hockey, lacrosse, skateboarding, soccer, softball, speed/agility, tennis, volleyball, and wrestling.

$120 per week ($105 for July 1-5); Extended care, 7:30-9am & 4-5:30pm, $30/week

NEW! Summer Camps at Carousel Park

Come out to Carousel Park and join us for these new, fun camps! Open to ages 7-12. Half-day camps, 9:30am-12pm, Mondays-Fridays. $100/week

Safety Town

Safety Town is an exciting program using a miniature town with streets, crosswalks, houses, and signs for children 4, 5, and 6 years old. In this 15-hour program, children are taught to become safety conscious through activities in our outdoor miniature town, and indoor crafts and visits from guest speakers.
 
Cost is $65 per session; $75 for out-of-state residents
 

Explorer's Club at Rockwood

August 5-9, 9am-3pm, Ages 9-12, $150

Art Studio

The Art Studio offers summer camps in Clay, Drawing and Painting, Mixed Media, and more.  These consist of ten 1 1/2 hour classes Monday through Friday. 
 

Kaliedoscope Summer Camp

For children & adults with intellectual disabilities. In order to provide inclusive art settings, participants without disabilities are also welcome. Camps will provide techniques that support each individual to create art independently for self-expression, communication, and connection with peers. All ages are welcome. Fashion Camp

8 week-long sessions, each session is five 7 1/2-hour days
6/17-21; 6/24-28; 7/8-12; 7/15-19; 7/22-26; 7/29-8/2; 8/5-9; 8/12-16; Monday-Friday, 9am-4:30pm
Cost is $165 per week, including all materials fees
 
1 week-long session, session is four 7 1/2-hour days
7/1-5; Monday-Friday (no camp 7/4), 9am-4:30pm
Cost is $132 per week, including all materials fees
 
This all-girl camp for ages 8-13 will provide sewing, design, leadership, and life skills. Design and produce several take-home projects. Before- and after-camp care available at an additional cost.

Hockessin Police Athletic League Summer Fun Camp

June 10-August 19 (no camp week of July 4)
9am-2pm. FREE before- & after-camp care (7:30am-6pm)
Ages 8-13
$175/week, $25 discount for siblings
