What Are Council Committees?
Under Council rules, most legislation must be discussed in committee prior to being debated and voted upon in a full Council Meeting.The committee chairs are charged with announcing, organizing, and running their committee's meetings. Each committee is responsible for a particular policy area and/or County service.

All Committee meetings will be held in the 8th floor conference room unless otherwise noted. Council's Regular Meeting is held in the Council Chambers, Louis L. Redding City/County Building, 800 N. French Street, Wilmington, DE 19801. Other meetings may be held which do not appear on this site but are advertised per Freedom of Information Act requirements.
