The mission of the Department of Community Services, Community Development and Housing Division, is to administer housing and community development programs for residents of New Castle County.  The department provides a wide spectrum of community development services within the confines of the County, outside the metropolitan areas of Wilmington and Newark.

2013 Public Housing Plan:   

New Castle County Public Housing’s Annual Plan is an assessment of the housing needs of low income County residents; goals for addressing these housing needs; a statement of financial resources available to New Castle County to support tenant–based and project-based rental assistance program, and a statement of management policies.  The 2013 Admin Plan is a statement of management policies governing housing assistance; and other information relevant to the administration of Section 8 tenant-based and project-based rental assistance. 

The “Draft” version of the 2013 Administrative Plan (noted under this section as: 2013 Admin Plan Draft) will be available for public comment from April 9, 2013, through June 1, 2013.  Please address your questions or concerns to:  Rrizzo@nccde.org

 

NCC One Year Action Plan 2013-2014

New Castle County has prepared the Annual Action Plan as required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development identifying the activities to be funded with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, HOME Investment Partnership (HOME) funds and Emergency Solutions Grant Program (ESG) Funds that it will receive during the program year, which runs from July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.

FY2015 Grant Application will be available November 2013.
