Section 8 - Community Development and Housing
The Section 8 housing choice voucher program is a way the County can help you with rental costs. It may help you afford a better place to live, or if you like where you are living now and your unit can pass inspection, it may help you pay for your rent. Either way, the Housing Assistance Program pays the landlord part of your monthly rent. You pay 30% at minimun of your adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
LANDLORD MEETING
Do you own a rental property and want a steady source of monthly rental income?
Consider becoming a Section 8 Landlord!
New Castle County Community Services cordially invites you to attend a meeting of Section 8 landlords, owners and or managers to be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at the Gilliam Building, 77 Reads Way, New Castle, Delaware. The meeting will start at 6:30PM and last no longer than 90 minutes. This meeting is being conducted as part of New Castle County’s effort to continue an ongoing dialogue with Section 8 landlords regarding Section 8 operations. This meeting is not mandatory but is an opportunity to receive any new information pertaining to the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program.
Staff from New Castle County will explain the advantages of becoming a Section 8 landlord. If you are considering renting out a property you currently own, don’t miss the informative meeting. If you need additional information, please call 395-5669 between 8am-4pm Monday thru Friday.
