Please be advised that effective June 1, 2013 all future (live) HAP and utility payments to landlords and tenants will be mailed by the 5th business day of each month. 
 

Spring 2013 Newsletter

The New Castle County Section 8 Waiting List is currently CLOSED.
 
The Section 8 housing choice voucher program is a way the County can help you with rental costs.  Once pulled from our waiting list, the program may help you afford a better place to live, or if you like where you are living now and your unit can pass inspection, it may help you pay for your rent.  Either way, the Housing Assistance Program pays the landlord part of your monthly rent.  You pay 30% at minimum of your adjusted monthly income for rent and utilities.
