The Online Permit and Inspections Scheduling System can be used by eligible contractors to obtain the most common residential HVAC and Plumbing permits. The system also provides the ability to schedule inspections related to these permits.
Note: Eligible contractors must first register for a username and password in order to access the system.

In order to be eligible to use this service, a contractor must hold a license that provides endorsement to pull permits in the following areas:

To apply for an on-line permitting and inspections account, you must send your application to New Castle County Department of Land Use. For your protection, this account cannot be set up on-line. This service is available to all New Castle County licensed contractors for inspections scheduling, and for licensed contractors in the categories of plumbing, boiler, forced hot air, air conditioning, and decorative appliance for permitting. These are limited to those residential replacement permits that do not require a plan review and/or a gas test. Other permit options will be added to our on-line services as we gain experience with the process.
To utilize the permit service, an escrow account is required, the contractor must be licensed for the type of work to be performed and an on-line permit application form must be completed. There is no additional charge for this service. It is the responsibility of the applicant to provide complete and truthful information. In the same manner as any other type of application, the information submitted is the property of New Castle County and will be utilized as permanent records.
As a contractor registered for the on-line permitting service, an escrow account will be established for you and you will be provided with the credentials necessary to access the system.
