Items Due During Emergency Closings

Please be advised that when the libraries are closed due to inclement weather, items due during that time will NOT be assessed late fees. Patrons are not expected to return their materials during such closures as we cannot guarantee the approaches to the book drops will be cleared.

Libraries Closed for Presidents' Birthdays

Please note that the New Castle County Libraries will be CLOSED on Monday, February 6 for Lincoln's Birthday and Monday, February 20 for Washington's Birthday. Please renew your items early to avoid confusion.

Lost Card Fee

As of February 1, 2012, all public libraries in the state of Delaware will charge patrons $2.00 for a lost card.

Tax Time!

It's the new year, and our most-asked questions become "When do the tax forms arrive?" and "Are you going to offer tax help again this year?"
 
Rest assured, tax forms are coming, and assistance is being offered by volunteer organizations all over the County.
