Tax Time

It's that time of the year when we all fill out reams of paperwork and send them to the government.  Your New Castle County Libraries are here to aid in the process, providing quick links to heavily-used forms for download.  And some of our libraries are hosting tax volunteers to assist you as well.

Re-Wire To Be Re-Hired

Delaware citizens seeking to increase their employability and competiveness in today’s job market will be able to attend the "Re-Wire To Be Re-Hired" workshops offered at the Appoquinimink, Bear, Elsmere, Garfield Park, Kirkwood, Newark, and Woodlawn libraries. American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds are being used to provide employment training and assistance to unemployed, underemployed,or retired individuals who want to re-enter the workplace. Eligible participants must have an income less than 200% of the poverty level and be 18 years of age or older. Resume writing, interviewing techniques, and career planning are among the workshop topics.

To register for the "Re-Wire To Be Re-Hired" workshops, call one of the host libraries or contact Corinthia Pierce at 302-395-5621 or capierce@nccde.org.

Libraries Are the Center Of Our Community

...where people come together to discuss, learn, grow, and share.

While County tax dollars support the basic operations of our County Libraries, private support is also needed to ensure the depth of services you have come to expect.  Consider giving back to your library with a tax-deductible contribution. Your donation will provide books to build your library’s collection.

All amounts will be appreciated. Make checks payable to New Castle County Pride, Inc.  and mail to:
