Shooting Investigation, Hampton Green Townhouses

New Castle County Police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred last night between several individuals who were reportedly firing gunshots at each other.  Two subjects, a 19 year old male and a 24 year old male, sustained apparent gunshot wounds to the upper body and are being treated at the Christiana Hospital.   Several homes and vehicles in the area also sustained damage as a result of the gunfire.

New Castle County Police have arrested John Deldeo, a 48 year old male who resides in the unit block of Drexel Hall in the Foxwood Apartments in Newark, DE.  He has been charged with burglary and related offenses after he was apprehended by a police canine while he was hiding in the bedroom of an apartment in the Silver Springs Apartment complex.  Police discovered that the subject was in possession of two 8” butcher knives at the time of his apprehension.

Carjacking Suspect Identified and Apprehended with help from the United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force

New Castle County Detectives have arrested Corey Lewis, a 22 year old male who resides in the 700 block of Townsend Place in the community of Southbridge in the City of Wilmington.  He has been charged with robbery and related offenses after he was linked to a carjacking incident that occurred last week in the community of Garfield Park.  Lewis, who is a convicted felon, is prohibited from possessing weapons.

New Castle County Police have arrested Matthew Williams, a 27 year old male who resides in the 600 block of Isle Drive in the community of Todd Estates in Newark, DE, after he was linked to a rash of thefts from motor vehicles that occurred throughout numerous neighborhoods along the Old Baltimore Pike, Salem Church Road and Route 4 corridors during the end of April.   He has been charged with multiple burglary, theft, attempted theft and criminal mischief charges.
