Libraries Section 1 Libraries The New Castle County Libraries Division provides library information and circulation services and other community services activities from 15 library facilities. Nine facilities are directly administered by the Division (Appoquinimink, Claymont, New Castle County Brandywine Hundred, Hockessin, Kirkwood, Newark, Bear, Elsmere and Woodlawn Library), and six are contractually managed (Corbit-Calloway, Delaware City, New Castle, Wilmington and its two branches, the North Wilmington Branch and La Biblioteca del Pueblo).  The library system serves as a community asset by meeting the need for popular materials, introducing children to the excitement of reading and providing access to the world of information.      Parks Section 1 Parks There are over 200 regional, district, and neighborhood parks in New Castle County, so there's always a county park nearby! Best of all, they're FREE! With a wide variety of features - from picnic pavilions, to sports fields, to ponds, to forests, to trails - New Castle County parks can accommodate everything from a brief stroll to an all-day affair.   Museums Section 1 Museums     New Castle County is home to a number of world-class attractions and museums, including the Rockwood Museum, Winterthur Estate & Gardens, Nemours Mansion & Gardens, Hagley Museum, and the Delaware Art Museum. Visitors can learn about the exciting history of the area as they tour a magnificent gothic estate, rest at the same foothills where Revolutionary War troops camped, or stroll along the remains of a turn-of-the-century amusement park.
